Stabilisation Contract I54

Description:

During the construction of the Junction 2 I54 motorway link Staffordshire County Council used the opportunity to prepare a large site for future development by lime Stabilisation of the materials on site. This contract was tendered and secured separately from the main contract. TPS teamed up with Combined Soils Stabilisation Ltd provide a one stop shop for this project. This has proved successful and TPS & CSSL have worked together on several projects since.

Scope of works:

Topsoil Strip

Movement of material from stockpile – 70,000cu m

treatment and placing in layers

Removal of contaminated material.

Construction of topsoil bund around the site to prevent unwanted access.

Full testing and monitoring to prove compliance with the specification.
